The Cottage on the Dunes is part of the exclusive Rogue Shores community which slopes down to the ocean and has areas actually set below sea level - but allows easy beach access for you!  This home is perched atop the largest dune overlooking the small neighborhood set on the sandy shore.  The distinctive round shape of the home provides 240 degree ocean vistas while offering a pleasant open atmosphere for your group.  The light colors and comfortable furnishings provide a warm down-home mood accentuated by special touches such as tile countertops, bright colors and  vaulted ceilings.  The master bedroom has a small retreat with ocean views for a comfortable get-away, or use the daybed as an extra sleeping space.

The Cottage on the Dunes has two plus bedrooms and two bathrooms, a brand new hot tub, a large airy living  / dining / kitchen combination with a futon for extra sleeping room, a wood burning stove, a nicely equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, and all linens provided.  Recognizing the prevalence of cell phones in the world, especially as we travel, this home does not offer telephone service - so be sure to bring your cell phone charger!

The country style furnishings create a casual and unpretentious place to put up your feet and rest.  Relax on the wrap around deck and look out to the horizon with the water stretching in all directions.  Throw open the doors allowing the Ocean's lilting melody to play inside your beach sanctuary. Or take a short walk down the hill through a small neighborhood and you will find yourself on Bailey Beach where the seagulls whirl, the seals cavort, and the rhythmic surge of the ocean crashes at your feet. 

The Cottage on the Dunes in located just North of Gold Beach at the first exit off of Highway 101.  The home is actually set on the Old Coast Highway which winds it's way along the ocean shore from the North and eventually continues into Gold Beach.  Pastoral views and open spaces provide a convenient buffer between Highway 101 and the Rogue Shores neighborhood.
